The Cathay Pacific 24-hour Hackathon is an annual event where a select group of applicants will be given 24 hours to develop an innovative technology solution for travellers. As part of this elite group, you’ll work together with a range of students, professionals, and experts who share the same passion for tech and travel, and with whom you’ll collaborate to achieve success.
This signature event – hosted at Cathay Pacific’s headquarters – will allow you to bring your ideas into the real world. You will be challenged with real business problems, and will have the chance to pitch your unique solutions to influential industry professionals.
Join us from 3-4 November 2018 at Cathay Pacific City, as we embark on an exciting journey to bring “Smart Travel” ideas from future to present.
Experience the only hackathon event in Hong Kong with an aviation and travel focus. With access to experts with insights and the inner workings of the aviation industry, participants will get to understand more about the industry through exclusive empathy days and technical workshops provided by Cathay Pacific and our partners.

It was an insightful visit, with live demonstrations of some of the latest technologies. The team also joined the celebration of the launch of direct service between Dublin and Hong Kong and took the first flight back to Hong Kong!
